 Swimming with the sea lions.
Always a favorite with AdventureWomen, a Galapagos Islands cruise provides us with an intimate look at what Darwin called “a little world within itself,” a place where an amazing assortment of wildlife reigns in a peaceable kingdom. While cruising the Galapagos Islands on our chartered and private luxury 16-passenger catamaran, seabirds follow in our wake and dolphins ride the crest of our waves. Snorkel among a dazzling display of brightly-colored tropical fish, play tag with sea lions, and watch Galapagos Island penguins frolicking all around. It’s the greatest natural wildlife show on earth!
Add to your adventure vibrant highlands, colorful Indian markets, snow-capped volcanoes, and turquoise crater lakes, all while you stay in charming and elegant Andean haciendas - and you’ve got an adventure travel experience that incorporates the BEST of Ecuador.

Our week of delightful Montana skiing begins with sunshine, blue sky, and plenty of incredible snow, called the “cold smoke” because it is so light and fluffy. This is what a women’s only ski vacation and downhill ski clinic in Montana was meant to be! Come discover, OR rediscover, the pure joy of a downhill ski adventure – Montana style – at the most all-inclusive women’s ski clinic in the country at Bridger Bowl. With expert women ski instructors and small groups with individual attention, women of any ability level (from those who have never skied before, to beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers), will improve not only their skiing skills, but their confidence and comfort zones. The camaraderie of skiing together with other women and your instructors is what women from our past clinics have valued as the most important aspect of the week—it provides an emotionally safe environment where each participant can learn to develop their skiing abilities and develop at her own level. Come see why so many of our past clients return year after year!

It’s no wonder that one of our longest-running, most popular winter getaways is our British Virgin Islands Caribbean Sail, Snorkel, and Scuba adventure. In the middle of winter, who wouldn’t want to be onboard the world’s largest luxury trimaran sailboat, enjoying a fabulous warm-weather escape with watersports activities galore, decadent food, and wonderful accommodations—an experience rated as “one of the top five vacations in the world” by travel writers! Our days are filled with sailing, snorkeling, and scuba diving, in addition to eating and also relaxing! Take your pick of activities, or just sit on the deck and read a book! Here are a few thoughts from our past AdventureWomen participants, and I think what they say about the trip speaks for itself…

I would do this trip again because…
“…even though I have now done it twice, I can’t see it ever getting boring. Between the scenery, the diving, the great people that you meet and the excellent crew – it is truly a week of wonders! I will definitely be back next year!”
“…each day is full of options to enjoy your Caribbean adventure. The boat is super-comfortable, with a fun and energy-filled crew, anxious to serve…”
“… it’s a wonderful opportunity for snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and even sailing the Hobie Cats that are available.”
“…the boat was absolutely amazing. I loved the diving … and getting my advanced PADI open water certification… and hope to see you again!”

This exotic adventure into the heart of Papua New Guinea—the eastern half of the island of New Guinea—with the bonus of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, is definitely in the MUST-GO category for seriously adventurous women. Papua New Guinea and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef feature some of the most colorful people, flora, fauna, and marine life on the planet. Get ready for glimpses of pacific rim animals and flowers, astonishing New Guinea masks and art, tribal dancing, flamboyant warriors, a tree-top gondola ride, and snorkeling with the multi-colored fish of the Great Barrier Reef.
Papua New Guinea’s wild and rugged landscapes, its extraordinary, biologically-diverse forests, and its colorful ancient cultures are a photographer’s dream! We interact with the fascinating Huli, Kundiman, Karawari, and Melpa peoples, explore remote tributaries of the Sepik River, witness a tribal “sing-sing,” and take a jungle trek to search for the iridescent bird of paradise. We stay overnight in a village where people still live a subsistence lifestyle, growing their own food and going about their daily lives much as they have for thousands of years.
Our grande finale is in Cairns, where we explore Australia’s Queensland coast and the Great Barrier Reef from our 5-star hotel-spa on the beach. Swim, snorkel, and explore the Reef and spectacular rainforest scenery. The BEST of both worlds, all in one trip!

2008 Madagascar Our recent adventure in Madagascar (Aug. 22 – Sept. 3) was so wonderful, that I want to share some photographs of the animals and reptiles that we encountered. From lemurs to chameleons, beaches to the rainforests, it was a true adventure, with a terrific group of women and a great guide! We even ended up donating a cow (we named her “Maddie”), to a local woman with 9 children.
